US Marantz-site zag ik toevallig dat de SR 5006 en 6006 al staan met adviesprijzen in dollars. Weer een nieuw uiterlijk, vindt het zelf niet echt mooier, wel praktischer. Ze krijgen netwerk (Airplay!), en vvor mij belangrijk, phono-versterking.

Marantz is about to launch their new SR6006. It is luxuriously enabled with wonderful improvements and new features including networking, streaming, phono preamplifier circuit, two DC triggers, dual simultaneous HDMI outputs, increased HDMI inputs and their all new Setup wizard. To add to users convenience and enjoyment it includes Apple AirPlay and is now preloaded directly from Marantz. There are also sonic performance improvements including upgraded speaker terminals.
The SR6006 has a 7ch Discrete Amplifier rated at 110W x 7 into 8 ohms. Like all Marantz products, it has a beefy power supply to support a powerful performance in two channel or multi-channel.
Added to the improved source and convenience is a Network connection. This enables streaming of many sources including their popular VTuner Internet radio from the higher end SR7005. Now Napster, Rhapsody, Pandora, DLNA, and Apple AirPlay access to iTunes are readily available. Additionally network connected Wizz App control is available opening users of iPhone, Touch and iPad an interface to control their SR6006. Soon Android will be added to the Wizz App device list. Also Flicker, I/P control, and Marantz firmware updates and client remote maintenance are added.
