Het antwoord:It is not a fixed rule at all.
You obviously have the app, so why not try both and decide for yourself.

room correction above 300 Hz is likely because they believe in Dr. Toole's explanation.
To understand what he's talking about, it is best for you to read his book "Sound reproduction" yourself, or just read the following article, it probably cover 90% of what he had in the book on this topic:

Denk dat 2 presets maken de juiste weg is, 1 zonder deze correctie, dus fullrange, de ander met correctie op +/- 300kz en dan luisteren wat beter of prettiger klinkt.
