ik laat het maar in het Engels, dat is het duidelijkst, met vertalen kan er wat veranderen.
Mijn vraag:Hi,
is it adviced to lower the frequentie range to say 300-500hz, no matter the kind of speakers used ?
Denon says keep it at fullrange......
Het antwoord:It is not a fixed rule at all.
You obviously have the app, so why not try both and decide for yourself.
Those who believe on not to apply
room correction above 300 Hz is likely because they believe in Dr. Toole's explanation.
To understand what he's talking about, it is best for you to read his book "Sound reproduction" yourself, or just read the following article, it probably cover 90% of what he had in the book on this topic:
Maximizing Loudspeaker Performance in Rooms (cieri.net)
http://www.cieri.net/Documenti/Altri%20marchi/Harman%20Group%20-%20Maximizing%20Loudspeaker%20Performance%20in%20Rooms%20(Floyd%20E.%20Toole).pdfKeep in mind, with advance in technology, Dr. Tooler may not say exactly the same thing he did before if he is up to date with the latest development in RC, especially Dirac Live and Trinnov, and possibly others.
Most of what he covered in the book that are grounded in well understood theories will mostly still apply.
Een piep klein stukje uit het artikel:Summing this up, it can be stated that there are two distinct domains in a listening room.
Below about 400-500 Hz the room dominates what we hear and, above that division, the
loudspeaker dominates.
