heb m n hele verhaal al op het AVS forum gedaan dus even niet zo n zin om helemaal te gaan vertalen

having a question about the video passthrough properties of the AV8003.

I watched 'I Am Legend' on Blu-Ray last night and noticed that the dark scenes looked washed out/not inky/grey.

I m trying to find out what is the cause of this because my Mitsubishi HC7000 projector has the quality that he has top notch black levels. So I was thinking that maybe it has something to do with the colorspace/RGB range? (just trying to tackle all possible causes).
On my previous receiver, the Denon 4308, there was an option in the HDMI setup where you could select the colorspace (RGB or YCbCr) and RGB Range (Normal or Enhanced). I know that this so called RGB Range defines if your display has BTB and WTW support or not.
I cannot find this option on the AV8003.

my 2 questions in a nutshell:
1. Does the AV8003 autodetects this or am I not looking close enough in the options menu?

2. Are there other video passthrough option in the AV8003 maybe that could affect the blacks show by a display?

thanks for all input, really appreciate it.

misschien hier ook wat input/kennis hierover?
