Hi guys,

i´ve a question and maybe you can help me.

I´m listening my music almost only with headphones over my marantz hd-dac1.
Now i will try something new. I want to try out hifiman headphones, maybe a HE500, HE560, HE5LE.

Do you think the marantz hd-dac1 supplies enough power for these magnatostatic headphones?
Anyone of you use this combination and can say; yes, it works really fine!

I really hope you can help me with my problem, cause in our german forum no one dare to answer

Test the hifiman with you're HD-DAC1 at the shop, before buying the headphones

I couldn't tell you from my own experience but an audiophile friend of mine tested the HD-DAC1 succesfully with
- a Hifiman-HE6 (50 ohm) (very good) and
- a Grado PS 1000e (32Ohm) (excellent and recommended)

Hope this is helpful to you.

Personally i don't really care for headphones.
I've  got a sennheiser h598 though, not really stellar i hear, but sufficient for me.
