New vs. old .... Wadia 322 vs. Marantz SA7 ...
my SA7 has over 8 years, and I wanted to see what was in relation
the new players .. detailed test of several hours, changed in settings
digital filters to Marantz, used only the best red book recordings ..
and the result is ............... Wadia is good almost as SA7 ... just a
little lags in some detail, no direct comparisons and differences are
almost insignificant.
Of course Wadia has advantages ... playing music from a PC, receives
all possible formats including DSD, can serve as a preamp, an output
for headphones .. but if you have a sizable collection of top quality CD
and SACD, you do not want music from a PC, if you have a CD player
in the class SA7... you do not need Wadia... any questions?
